Our Mission
We believe that Ballina is a brilliant place to live and that our Autistic community deserve to thrive.
Our goal is to achieve and retain the AsIAm Autism-Friendly town accreditation award.
Our vision is for our town to become a more accessible, accepting and, inclusive community for all.
We are a group of individuals with a shared vision - an inclusive Ballina.
Our committee consists of Autistic adults, parents of autistic children, professionals and community members.
Autism Friendly Champions
Our Autism Friendly Champions are businesses, clubs and organisations within the community that have committed to our collective vision of an Autism friendly town.
Throughout the year we are regularly involved in making community events Autism and disability friendly.
This includes both small community events and much larger ones like the world famous Ballina Salmon Festival.
We are very passionate about educating others on Autism and how best to support Autistic people.
We’ve curated a list of useful information, websites and services that are from reliable sources so you can empower yourself and those around you.
